I thing that it’s less known than the standard islands – is it less crowded and less ‘all inclusive’ than other islands like e.g. I’d say this inspired me to book a room, but unfortunately I think it’s waaaaaay out of my price range… (unless they have a $15 a night luxury suite :)? The Calabash is a long-established, family-run, luxury hotel on Grenada's south coast. I’d have been sold too, the hotel is set in the most perfect location looking out onto the pretty secluded beach of Anse Aux Epines, it must have been the stuff dreams were made of. Looks like you found a lovely place to relax!There were magazines to read, but for me, I was happy enough to just sit on the balcony and enjoy my welcome Rum punch.We love staying at boutique hotels sometimes too because they feel homier and pay more attention to detail. The decor is super charming and doesn’t have any of the mass-produced, industrial hotel feel. Apart from the facilities at Calabash itself, the hotel is well located for the airport (about 15 minutes by cab) and is close enough to walk to some of the local bars, We spent our first evening at West Indies Brewery enjoying chocolate beer, listening and dancing to a live band. Grenada is safe to walk around at night and it’s a place where I felt immediately comfortable being there alone. Our five-night stay at Calabash Luxury Boutique Hotel in Grenada was absolutely wonderful. Gabriel constantly makes us proud with his wonderful attitude and the care he shows our guests. Jamaica or the French Antilles? Her attitude is second to none and her dynamic way of thinking has brought lots of great new ideas to Calabash.We had a guest who complained – she said that if she knew that there would be ants in the grass and sometimes on the sand (harmless black ants which don’t bite), she would have never have booked a holiday in the Caribbean! The little things matter so much, and we need to impress upon all member of staff that no matter how insignificant a task may seem, it is there for a reason for it, and the task must be given 100% effort.It has to be Paris. He's a visionary when it comes to the floral arrangements around the hotel and we couldn't be prouder of him. I would prefer 30 rooms over 100s.
