This is not on a service contract, and is otherwise working great.Sorry to say, but the problem about and Empty toner cartridge doesn't have a solution. I had the exact same problem on my Xerox VersaLink C7000 printer. It kept reporting that the "Magenta toner is empty" and refused to print anything. I had 2 service technicians working on the printer on 3 separate occasions. They replaced at least 2 parts (the sensor and drive mechanism plus some other part deeper in the printer). All these service calls helped only for a very short time. After each service, I could print a few more pages. Then the dreaded "Magenta toner is empty" message came back every time. I inserted more than one new toner cartridge, but even a totally new cartridge didn't make any difference. Something seedms to clog the flow of toner.
